A Book Built on Email

Last year, during one of the worst economic times in recent memory, Dan Stuenzi decided to launch a collaborative book project called The Complete Guide to Estate & Financial Planning In Turbulent Times.

He had an excellent offer and a number of pre-commitments from people interested in joining the project, but needed many more people to make the project a success.

Dan turned to us to help generate leads and prospects for his sales people.

We designed a campaign built around email newsletters and the type of interactivity and tracking that we use for all subscribers of our E2M services.

The newsletters contained clicks that allowed readers to show their interest.

The most effective part of the newsletter was a graphic link we put into the newsletter that said,

 
 

When a reader clicked on the graphic, an alert email went out to a salesperson. A click also sent a text message immediately to the salesperson's cell phone. This allowed the sales person to call back immediately if they chose. Talk about timely response.

The bottom line? Dan reached the number of people he felt he needed to make the project successful. The sales people will tell you that it was due in large part to the warm leads generated through the marketing campaign and translated to sales in the form of email and text alerts.

We use this same technology in our newsletter, with a slightly less intense graphic.
